The Student Services Department provides quality services to students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment while acknowledging and valuing individual differences and fostering individual achievement. Woodland Star’s Student Services provides Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Counseling, and Academic Support.
We also interface with general education in the Student Support Team (SST) process and Response to Intervention (RTI) process. Through these processes, we support the General Education Teachers in generating accommodations available to all students, motivate individual students with targeted interventions, and help create short-term SMART goals when appropriate.
Our optimal goal is to provide young children with a creative and safe environment that will support them in being successful through joyful exercises, and imaginative, focused tutorial work while fostering the natural, unfolding child.
