Woodland Star Charter School’s bucolic campus is nestled in the countryside in Glen Ellen, Eastern Sonoma County. The campus is 13 acres with majestic oak trees and large fields which make it an ideal place of learning and inspiration, surrounded by the tranquility of nature. Our large school garden is lovingly tended by our students and staff and provides supplemental food for in house school lunch program, as well as a classroom for our 3rd-grade farm curriculum. Weather permitting, the large outdoor stage, with the Mayacama Mountains as the backdrop, is a beautiful place for the grades to perform class plays. The campus also features ample space for recess activities, including a large field, a blacktop area with basketball, volleyball, and tetherball equipment, a playground, and a space for our younger students to imagine in the beautiful oak groves (the home of fairies and gnomes). Vibrant murals adorn the walls, creating a lively atmosphere for the children. Designated classrooms for three kindergarten classes, grades 1-8, handwork, music, middle school science lab and art room, a library, large gym, and rooms for aftercare, student services, and ELD. The students and teachers alike marvel at the ever-changing seasonal beauty of their surroundings, finding endless joy and inspiration in the natural world around them. Our spacious campus provides ample space for a Waldorf-inspired education.
